Roberts Hawaii Shore Excursions - Historic Kona Tour
This tour is only available for cruise ship passengers. The dates provided line up with Pride of America's schedule.
Take a trip back in time to Puuhonua O Honaunau National Historical Park, an ancient Hawaiian village of refuge for kapu (forbidden law) breakers. We will also take you to Kealakekua Bay, an marine life preserve and monument to Captain Cook. This is where he sailed in as the god, Lono, proved a mere mortal and was slain. Praise his soul at St. Benedict’s, a tiny church Belgian priests painted to be a grand cathedral. Finally we will visit the Kona coffee factory where the brew is as rich as the history experienced on this tour.
